Being Monday the majority of people being back to work at the end of a crazy record breaking weather (warm and sunny) saw me and Emily and baby summer brave the madness that is Hunstanton. Normally any hot or warm weekends and this seaside resort gets manic with traffic and people. It is a great place with many happy childhood memories and it was amazing fun for me to bring Emily and Summer for their first experiences of Sunny Hunny as it is locally known. True to form the wind was 10mph more than the mainland but the crowds were non existent and being October yes things were not all open however most things were and so it was a perfect day. I took the pram / buggy off road in the sand and we had a nice walk along the sea front. Summer was really enjoying herself, and so were we.
Arcades seem to have moved on a bit and I couldn't really find anything of interest except we got rid of 2ps and 1ps in the ones that have moving draws and push the money you drop down ever closer to the edge. Emily came out a winner of 40p! We left sharp.
I absolutely gorged myself for a change starting with a bag of prawns shell and head complete, a 99 cone, donuts lunch was a very lousy fish and chips and so dinner I restored faith with a good one at the waterside bar/pub watching the kite surfing in hunstanton which is very popular. There must have been 20+ guys out there and the conditions seemed amazing. We left after a full day and on the way home a dog was loose on the road which was the only thing of note. Back to work tomorrow but how great this mini spell of indian summer.
